As a chamber musician she particularly enjoys collaborating with singers, playing regularly for vocal consorts such as The Marian Consort, Musica Secreta and Vache Baroque. She is featured on The Marian Consort’s latest CD ‘Una Poesia Muta’ in which her performance was reviewed as ‘flawless’ by Gramophone Magazine. Recently she has been delighted to collaborate with the viol consort Fretwork in a series of concerts dedicated to Dowland’s 400th anniversary featuring Dowland’s Lachrimae and lute songs with tenor Ian Bostridge. Orchestrally she has performed with many of the leading baroque orchestras and beyond including the Academy of Ancient Music, Aurora Orchestra, The English Concert, Gabrieli Consort & Players and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. As a singer, with a particular interest in the historical practice of self-accompaniment, recent highlights have included a solo recital at the Oxford International Song Festival, a recital with her ensemble The Portrait Players at Buxton International Festival, programmes with Musica Antica Rotherhithe and appearances on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4 with Musica Secreta. In 2026 she looks forward to a solo recital at Haapsalu Early Music Festival, Estonia programmed around Dowland’s travels to Italy. Kristiina is a recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she studied with William Carter and David Miller. Previously she studied lute and singing with James Akers and Dr Patricia Macmahon, respectively at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland/University of Glasgow and classical guitar with Prof. Allan Neave. Kristiina plays a theorbo made by Klaus Jacobsen, a baroque guitar made by Dallas Sutherland and renaissance lutes by Martin Haycock.
